I joined Hyjan Investments in July 2025 as Finance Manager. I have over 10 years’ experience working in the property industry, but Hyjan is quite unique compared with most businesses I have worked for, both in the nature of its work and the processes involved.

What stands out to me most is Hyjan’s mission to transform derelict properties into homes. It is rewarding to be part of a company that has such a positive impact.

In my role, I introduced quarterly management accounts and financial reporting for the directors, prepare the annual company budget, and implemented and manage the cash flow forecasting process to ensure sufficient funds are available at the right time for property purchases and associated costs. I am also responsible for calculating and managing Quarterly Instalment Payments (QIPs) for corporation tax.

Outside of work, I enjoy driving to the seaside with my family, whether that’s having a picnic on a sunny day or taking a walk along the coast and enjoying the fresh sea air.
